Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is a group of volunteers who decide upon the Leeds Mind strategy, and oversee the governance of Leeds Mind. The board meets quarterly and also has four sub committees:

Linda Grant
Linda GrantChair
Linda is an independent consultant, facilitator and coach with more than twenty years’ experience in the field of management & people development. Linda’s expertise brings together an understanding of organisational development and individual behaviour, together with the desire to ensure strategies make a difference to organisational performance, are business focused, and are practical in their approach. Whilst not having accessed Leeds Mind services herself, Linda has personal experience of providing support to family members who have suffered mental health illness, and has also witnessed the issues surrounding misdiagnosis.
Paul Cunningham
Paul CunninghamDeputy Chair & Chair of Quality and Performance Sub-Committee
Paul is the manager of the Intermediate Care Ward at Seacroft Hospital, an Intermediate Care Community Team, and a Social Work Team with Leeds Community Healthcare. He has previously worked in social services. He is a qualified counsellor and has volunteered for Leeds Mind in this capacity for many years.
Bev Harrison

A qualified CIMA Accountant, Bev has over 20 years’ experience in business covering both Corporate and SME environments. She has led many major projects and worked as a Finance and Administration Director. Bev volunteers at Inkwell and is the lead for Friends of Inkwell.

General Members

Rob Cook
Rob Cook
Rob is currently Communications Coordinator at Bramley Elderly Action. His previous paid work has included spells at Volunteer Centre Leeds, Involve Yorkshire & Humber, and Leeds City Council. Rob worked for Leeds Mind from 2001-2007, during which time he was responsible for developing the Leeds Mental Health Directory. Rob has been through a period of depression and work-related stress himself, and has supported someone through long bouts of severe depression.
Satvinder Mann
Satvinder Mann
Sat is the founder of Isource Group, which is a Technology & Procurement Recruitment business based in Leeds, and operating across Yorkshire and the North of England. His other business interests are the Buy Yorkshire Conference and Skill Will CIC, which is where his involvement with Leeds Mind began. He is passionate about Yorkshire as a region, and is an advocate of linking business expertise to charities.
Niccola Swan
Niccola Swan
Niccola worked at Barclays Bank for 25 years, leaving her post of Regional Director in 2005, having also been Barclays’ first Diversity Director. After a spell as Deputy Chief Executive at the Business Disability Forum, in 2010 she moved on to become the Director of Leeds Mind. She retired in June 2014 and is now a governor of Leeds and York Partnership NHS FT, a Mental Health Act manager, a Parish Councillor, and a trustee of several charities including Outside the Box in Ilkley: a community café which supports people with learning disabilities. She is active in a number of anti-poverty campaigns. As an ex-member of staff, Niccola is passionate about mental health in general and the work of Leeds Mind in particular.
David Yeomans
David Yeomans
David is a full time consultant psychiatrist at Leeds & York Partnerships NHS Trust, seeing mostly working age people in an acute community service. He is particularly interested in recovery, physical health and information systems, and in the differing approaches offered by innovative mental health services around the world. He has published numerous scientific & clinical papers, and his teams have been recognised by several local and national awards including winning the 2013 Patient Safety Award.
Andy Graham
Andy Graham
Andy is an employment lawyer at Addleshaw Goddard LLP. Andy has assisted a large number of organisations, ranging from plc’s to small family-owned businesses, to manage work related issues involving mental health. Andy regularly works with occupational health companies and employers to achieve positive outcomes for employees who encounter mental health issues.

Andy has delivered a number of bespoke training sessions to line managers on managing their team’s performance and absence, with a particular focus on mental health issues.
