A sell-out inaugural “Mental Health Pub Quiz”, raised over £25,000 last night for local charities Leeds Mind and The Market Place.
Jonathan Morgan, Managing Director of Morgans City Living, and founder of the event together with Paula Dillon, partner at Womble Bond Dickinson and Richard Lewis, formerly of Town Centre Securities PLC (TCS) says, “We were in no doubt that the event would generate huge interest and we are delighted to have reached full capacity of 250 people for the night. According to MIND, 1 in 4 people are currently suffering from depression or anxiety and over 11% of the NHS budget is spent on mental health. We recognise that this has significant implications for Leeds and we want to do all we can to support those who are struggling by raising awareness.
Jonathan adds, “All profits will be shared equally between local mental health charities, Leeds Mind and The Market Place and we are delighted to announce that our winner was Fore Consulting and joint second place went to Walker Morris and TCS.
