At Leeds Mind we are pleased to be able to offer Leeds residents individual, one-to-one counselling as well as group based therapy. Talking therapies can be beneficial to many people who are going through a time of poor mental health, and the choice of individual or group therapy depends upon the challenges you are facing in your life. We can help you with that decision.

The Leeds Mind Counselling Service offers an affordable self-referral counselling and psychotherapy service to anyone who lives in the Leeds area. The cost is income-based, so our service is accessible to everyone who feels they may need it.
We are not able to offer our service free of charge, but we take your income into account when deciding how much you will pay, and our prices range from £10 to £40 an appointment. Please note that our counselling service is only open for referrals at certain times due to high demand on the service.
As with most volunteer-led organisations, we have a waiting list for our counselling service, which at the moment stands at around three months from referral, depending on the client’s flexibility in terms of time.
Therefore, we also have an evening private practice service that we can offer charged at a standard rate of £40 a session. This does not mean that the queue is jumped, or that those who are unable to pay have to wait longer, as all clients seen under this service are additional to our core funded service. All proceeds go towards supporting the work of the charity and helping to increase capacity, improve our service and eventually reduce waiting times. All Counsellors for our private practice counselling service are fully qualified.
