Leeds Mind supports hundreds of people with mental health problems, with the firm belief that they can live full and active lives. We work with our clients to support them to achieve their goals, to be engaged in their communities and to lead rich and rewarding lives. We also campaign to change the way people with experience of mental ill-health are seen and to reduce the stigma and discrimination against them.
Our paid staff include many people who have personal experience of mental ill-health. They are assisted by many more volunteers working in a variety of roles including as befrienders, counsellors, group support, administrators and at Inkwell, our arts centre.

We deliver a variety of innovative and effective services. These include:
Employment
We support people with mental health experiences to enter and sustain employment, work placements, voluntary work, higher education and training. We also help people with a mental health problem who are in work to keep their jobs. We provide training, group work, 1:1 support and have an IT training suite.

Housing
We provide a housing support service for people with mental health problems who live in Leeds. 1:1 support covers a range of areas aimed at supporting people to live independently. This is delivered within our shared housing or to people in their own homes.

Wellbeing
This service promotes social inclusion and community involvement. We provide a range of flexible support options, including: 1:1 support, Befriending, Counselling, Creative Arts at Inkwell, Self Help Group Work, and many other group activities.
