Leeds Mind Publications

Doorways in the Night

A beautifully produced book of "stories from the threshold of recovery" written and produced by people with experience of mental health problems. People who have the authority which comes from personal experience make a huge contribution to understanding what mental health problems are and what can aid recovery. This book is full of personal insights.

Several pieces originated in a creative writing course at SHIP and the book was produced by a group of Leeds-based service users called Local Voices and edited by Terry Simpson.

The book is beautifully and wittily  illustrated by Barbara Kirk. Buy a copy now as a collector's item by writing to david@localvoices.org.uk
