SUMMARY:A Life Worth Living - Suicide Prevention Course - Open Access - 27th January 2026
DESCRIPTION:This 4-hour course looks to reduce suicides by increasing people’s confidence\, skills and knowledge. This allows them to offer support and information to a potentially suicidal person\, which could prove life-saving. \nLearning objectives: \n\nTo train people in the heart of communities to offer support and information to people who are experiencing suicidal thoughts.\nTo be able to identify ‘a life worth living’ and build confidence\, skills and knowledge to offer support and information to a potentially suicidal person\nTo provide knowledge on how to signpost to local services and access the relevant pathway of support\nTo help reduce suicides\n\nThe course utilises case studies\, skills practice and group discussion to enhance the learning process. \nThe training is worth 4 CPD points. \nThis course is taking place at Kirkstall Forge in Leeds. \nPricing\n£95 \nFurther discounts available for VCSE organisations\, as well as Mindful Employer network members\, and corporates that are already working with Leeds Mind (for example\, as a fundraising partner).
