A message from our Chief Exec

Hello to all our Clients, Friends and Supporters,

Along with the rest of the UK, and the entire global community, Leeds Mind has been operating under unprecedented circumstances over the last couple of weeks. With the latest government advice meaning that human interaction is limited, we anticipate that demand for our services, advice and support will only increase in the coming months as coronavirus continues to affect our day-to-day lives.

Despite the challenges we all face, Leeds Mind is determined to continue our work towards better mental health for all, which feels more important than ever during such testing times.

With that in mind, over the coming weeks and months we’re asking you to support yourselves and each other in Leeds Mind Together, a campaign to keep our community connected. Through this initiative you can:

  • Access our services remotely – we’re working with clients to find new and innovative ways to deliver our support. You can find regularly updated details on what we’re doing here
  • Explore ways to maintain your mental wellbeing
  • Have some online community fun

This is an unsettling time for everyone across the globe. But here at Leeds Mind, we want to rally our community to remind everyone that physical isolation doesn’t have to mean emotional isolation.

Together with other charities worldwide, we are seeing our income decrease as events are cancelled and our corporate and community fundraising partners cease any non-essential activity. Please visit our fundraising page to find out the ways you can support us to continue to deliver better mental health for all.

Whether you have experienced a mental health difficulty before or not, we would encourage everyone to look after their mental wellbeing and ask for help whenever you need it. We look forward to continuing to deliver our vital services across Leeds and the surrounding areas and making a real difference.

Stay safe and stay supported,

Helen Kemp
