Our next quarterly networking event, Business Connections is coming up on October 10th. This event will be taking place on World Mental Health Day, and this year’s theme is about prioritising mental health in the workplace. Business Connections is a great chance for businesses and organisations in the community to come together and share valuable insight on mental health at work.
Our workplaces and our mental health are highly connected. We want more businesses to get involved in the discussion about how to facilitate and maintain a high level of workplace wellbeing. Business Connections is built around sharing valuable insight that can help businesses understand workplace mental health practises better and connect with other organisations in the community that are investing in mental health.
Who is speaking at this October’s Business Connections?
This Leeds Mind Business Connections event will be held on October 10th, from 10am to 12pm at Weetwood Hall Estate. Alongside talks from the Leeds Mind team and other business owners about workplace mental health strategies and experience, there will be opportunities to chat and network with speakers and attendees.
We will have two workshops from members of the Leeds Mind team and associates:
Colin Grist, Co-founder of Few and Far will chat about his experience of looking after mental health in the workplace, and how this shapes his workplace today.
Astrid Copeland, Mental Health and Wellbeing Trainer for Leeds Mind will deliver a taster session on Wellness Action plans – an invaluable tool for your team
You can sign up via this event page to get involved.
How could your business benefit from Leeds Mind Business Connections?
Joining us at Business Connections is a great opportunity to get talking with other like-minded organisations. These events are a friendly and casual way to get conversations around workplace mental health in motion, over a cup of coffee and a pastry.
We hope to offer you helpful resources and experiential insight so you can come away from the event feeling better prepared to support mental health and wellbeing in your workplace. Hopefully, you will make some valuable connections too.
Our training lead, Andrea, will discuss training opportunities as part of the workshop lineup. Andrea will be available to discuss facilitating training in your workplace before and after the workshops, so this is a chance to ask any questions about what training would be useful for your business and how to get started.
For more information, you can visit our workplace training page, and explore opportunities for fundraising with Leeds mind.
