In early 2021, Leeds Mind’s work had become more important than ever because of the mental health impact of the pandemic. This meant we needed to help more people at a time when our fundraising income had been hit by cancelled events and the national lockdowns, leaving us needing to do more with less.

That’s why we launched our #LeedsMind50kAppeal, in a bid to raise money to help tackle the mental health emergency in and around Leeds.

Now that the appeal has come to an end, we wanted to share its success, and say a massive ‘thank you’ to everyone who got involved and supported.

How much did we raise?

Our community banded together and raised an amazing £22,581.50

This is the total at the time of writing, and we know there are even more donations still coming in. What a fantastic result!

We knew our initial target of £50k was extremely ambitious, especially at a time when both individuals and organisations are dealing with the uncertainty caused by coronavirus. But we felt we needed to be bold and aim high for our community

It is thanks to this ambition, as well as the hard work of our team and all our generous supporters that we were able to raise such a fantastic amount. We are blown over by what our community has achieved together and couldn’t be more grateful.

The money raised will allow us to work sustainably and ensure we are here for the long term to support better mental health for all in our communityso thank you to all who got involved!

See more details on who got involved below, and further down find out ‘what’s next’ if you want to find ways to support us now the campaign has ended.

How did our community do it?
