Safe spaces for men to talk

Men’d

Leeds Mind is pleased to be working in conjunction with Leeds Community Foundation to provide a new service for men over the age of 18, living, working in or connected to Horsforth and the surrounding area; who may be socially isolated, at risk of or experiencing thoughts of suicide.

The service aims are to provide a safe space in which men can talk to other men with similar lived experience. Our Men’d practitioner has his own lived experience of mental health difficulties and will be drawing on this to support those accessing the service. We provide up to four one to one sessions to focus on identifying, setting and working toward personal goals. Within the coming weeks we will also be offering a drop-in session in Horsforth where men will be able to connect and talk to other men.
